If you want to buy your own home, but cannot afford to buy without help, you might be eligible for Co-Ownership.  You buy a share of the property and rent the rest from co-Ownership, a registered housing association.  We at Stevenson and Cumming have noticied an increase in first time buyers using this route to finance the purchase of their new home.

Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey recently announced a further £13m funding to Co-Ownership, in addition to £145m four-year funding announced by the Department in November 2020.  All very welcome news to assist first time buyers struggling to raise a deposit to purchase their own home.
